1. Overview

ChatShell is a local-first ChatGPT export tool. Conversation content is processed in your browser for export and is not sold or shared with advertisers.

2. Conversation Content

ChatShell reads ChatGPT page content only when you start an export. Exports are generated locally in your browser, including PDF generation through ChatShell's bundled local PDF engine.

• We do not upload conversation content to developer servers.
• We do not sell conversation content or use it for advertising.
• The extension runtime does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

3. Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome storage for product state, including language preference, license state, local instance identifiers, free-plan usage counters, and changelog state. Exported files and conversation content are not stored in extension storage.

4. License, Payments, and Website Analytics

When you activate, validate, or deactivate a license, ChatShell sends the license key and a local instance identifier to our license service. The license service uses Cloudflare infrastructure and Creem to verify entitlement, manage subscription status, support activation recovery, and prevent abuse.

The ChatShell website uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to measure visits, traffic sources, interactions, device and browser information, and aggregated performance. Clarity may provide session replays and heatmaps. These services use cookies or similar identifiers and may receive your IP address; they are used to improve the website and acquisition reporting, never to process exported conversation content. 5. Network Requests

During export, ChatShell accesses ChatGPT pages and related ChatGPT endpoints needed to load the conversations you choose to export. PDF export may load font files from approved CDN sources for CJK text, math symbols, and other scripts. License checks contact our license service and Creem. All requests use HTTPS.

6. Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The website uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to measure visits and interactions, and VibeLoft to measure trusted page views and daily active users. VibeLoft processes the page URL without query parameters or fragments, a persistent device identifier, and a device-feature digest. These services do not receive conversation content.
